A new milestone for SimchaCam: our dedicated livestreaming apps are now available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

A little while ago, we published an article called Why We're Building Dedicated SimchaCam Apps, explaining why we believed that private event livestreaming deserved a better experience on mobile phones.

Today, we're delighted to share that we've reached that milestone.

The SimchaCam iOS app is officially live on the Apple App Store!

With our Android app already available on Google Play, hosts can now use SimchaCam's dedicated mobile apps on both iPhone and Android.

It's an exciting moment for us, and another step towards making it easier for families and friends to share life's important occasions, wherever they happen to be.

Why We Built Dedicated Mobile Apps

When we started SimchaCam, our goal was straightforward: make it easy for someone to share a special occasion privately with people who couldn't attend in person.

We wanted something that didn't require expensive equipment, complicated software or a technical background. Just a phone, an internet connection and a private link to share with the people who matter.

Our original browser-based broadcasting experience helped us bring that idea to life. But as SimchaCam grew, we knew there was an opportunity to make the experience better for the person actually holding the camera.

The dedicated SimchaCam host apps are designed for broadcasting important events directly from a phone.

Livestreaming places particular demands on a phone. Maintaining a stable connection, managing the camera and keeping a broadcast running smoothly are all important when you're sharing a moment that can't simply be repeated.

Dedicated mobile apps give us a stronger foundation for handling those demands and building an experience specifically designed around livestreaming.

For hosts, that means a more focused broadcasting experience, without having to rely entirely on a mobile browser.

And for us, it means we can continue improving SimchaCam with features and refinements built specifically for iPhone and Android.

Your Guests Still Don't Need an App

One thing we were determined not to change was the experience for viewers.

Only the person broadcasting needs the SimchaCam host app.

Everyone watching can continue to join through a private link, opened directly in their phone, tablet or computer's web browser.

Viewers simply open the private event link in their browser — there is no app to install and no account to create.

There's no app to install, no account to create and no complicated setup.

That simplicity is especially important when sharing events with family members of different ages and levels of technical confidence.

Whether it's grandparents watching from another country, relatives who couldn't travel or friends joining from the other side of the world, we want the experience to be as straightforward as possible.

Open the link, and be part of the moment.

Bringing People Together, Wherever They Are

Over time, we've seen how many different occasions can benefit from a simple, private livestream.

A wedding where close relatives live overseas. A brit milah where grandparents can't be there in person. A bar or bat mitzvah shared with family abroad. A birthday celebration, anniversary or another gathering that means something special to the people involved.

The occasions may be different, but the reason for sharing them is often the same.

Someone important can't be there, and you want them to feel included.

That's what SimchaCam is for.

And with dedicated apps now available on both major mobile platforms, we're making it easier for more people to host those broadcasts using the phones they already own.

Simple, Private and Affordable

We believe that sharing an important family occasion shouldn't require hiring a professional production team or investing in specialist equipment.

Of course, there are events where professional videography and livestreaming services make perfect sense. But for many families, a straightforward phone-based solution is all they really need.

SimchaCam is designed to offer that alternative.

You can create an event, share a private viewing link and broadcast directly from your phone. Our free option makes it possible to get started without paying, while Premium is available for occasions that need longer broadcasts or more viewers.

The idea remains the same as it was on day one: make private livestreaming accessible, practical and affordable.

Thank You for Being Part of the Journey

Building SimchaCam has been a gradual process of learning, improving and listening to the people who use it.

Seeing our apps available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play is a milestone we're genuinely proud of, but there's still plenty more we want to do.

To everyone who has already used SimchaCam to share a wedding, celebration or family gathering: thank you.

And to those discovering us for the first time, welcome.

We're looking forward to helping you share many more special moments.
